Dental Implants

Dental Implants

It is crucial to replace missing teeth. Natural-looking dental implants, using metal and porcelain, are a great way to this. An implant is made of two main parts – the titanium implant body that takes the place of the missing root, and the tooth-colored crown attached to the top of the implant root. If properly maintained, implants can last a lifetime.

Dentures are natural-looking replacement teeth that are removable. There are two types of dentures: full and partial.

Full dentures are given to patients when all of the natural teeth are missing. Partial dentures are attached to a metal frame that is connected to your natural teeth and are used to fill in gaps. Just like natural teeth, dentures need to be cared for.

Dental fillings include ceramic and plastic compounds that mimic the appearance of natural teeth. There are two different kinds of fillings: direct and indirect.

Direct fillings are placed directly into a prepared cavity in a single visit. Indirect fillings generally require two or more visits. They include inlays, onlays, bridges, crowns, and veneers.

Snoring Prevention

Snoring Prevention

Snoring can be the result of several factors, some being serious. If you snore at night, a mandibular advancement device (MAD) may represent a solution and a better night’s sleep!

MADs are small, comfortable plastic devices worn in the mouth during sleep to prevent the soft throat tissues from collapsing and obstructing the airway.

Many suffer chronic facial, head, and neck pain due to Temporomandibular Disorder, or TMD.

Your temporomandibular joints (TMJ) connect your lower jawbone to your skull. Should you notice such pain, your dentist can help identify the presence of TMD and can create an effective treatment plan just for you.

Symptoms and Prevention

Root Canals

Root Canals

When a tooth is cracked or has a deep cavity, bacteria can enter the pulp tissue and can cause an infection inside the tooth, resulting in health problems.

Root canal treatment repairs this in one to three visits. During treatment, the affected tissue will be removed and the interior of the tooth will be cleaned and sealed. Finally, the tooth is filled with a dental composite.

Premium Comfort During Your Visit

We understand that visiting the dentist can be stressful, but we have some special comforts to make it a pleasant experience from start to finish.

Dentist Seattle, WA

We want to make you smile and that starts by making you feel at ease. Our in-office headphones and blankets provide a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. But that’s not all! We have a caring team who are experienced at assisting those with anxiety; they will take things at your pace and are with you during every treatment. In addition, we offer sedation dentistry, which makes you relaxed, lessens fear, and increases comfort during treatment.

Learn about the two types of sedation available.

Oral Sedation

Anxiolysis is a light form of sedation dentistry and is often used for patients with mild anxiety or those with longer, complex procedures. Usually administered orally, you remain awake or very sleepy and are able to breathe on your own, but you will feel a great sense of relaxation. Patients typically recover within a few hours.

Inhaled Sedation

Nitrous oxide is administered through a small mask that fits over your nose; it is an effective way to calm anxiety and raises your pain threshold. At the end of your appointment, you’ll resume breathing regular oxygen and the effects of nitrous oxide will disappear, so you can resume your normal activities immediately.
