Dr. Shoko Sato

Your periodontist in Seattle brings optimal health and beautiful smiles to all her patients.

‘‘

Hello, my name is Dr. Shoko Sato and I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to join Dr. LeCuyer, Dr. Amato, and Dr. Kopp and their team here at LeCuyer & Amato Dentistry located in the Madison Medical Tower on the Swedish First Hill Campus in Seattle.

In my home country of Japan, I practiced as a general dentist for five years prior to starting the graduate periodontology program at USC. Continuing to improve my qualifications I have completed my post graduate program in periodontology and my masters degree in craniofacial biology at the Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC in Los Angeles. This intensive training has added a great deal of theoretical and hands-on experience to my existing skills in dentistry.

Attending continuing education programs both in the United States and in Japan has afforded me the experience in treating patients with higher more advanced skills. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology I have achieved the highest level possible for a clinician which brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Puget Sound Periodontics at this time.

Hobbies

I enjoy being very active which started at a young age with my one older brother. My favorite love is participating in horse riding and scuba diving. My horse riding started when I was a little girl, where I focused on Show jumping and dressage. Dressage is the highest expression of horse training where the rider and horse are expected to memorize the movements. My favorite horse is now the background wallpaper on my phone and computer. My love for horses has also allowed me to become an expert at braiding horse hair, yet I still have trouble braiding my own. Recently, I went to a golf course where I was able to ride a horse and golf. It was absolutely my favorite place on earth!

‘‘ Your team is always stellar! Thank you! ’’
